### Task Status Indicators

- ⏸️ **Not Started** - Task not begun
- 🔄 **In Progress** - Currently working on task
- ⏸️ **Paused** - Task started but blocked/paused
- ✅ **Complete** - Task finished and tested
- ❌ **Blocked** - Cannot proceed (blocker documented)

### Phase Status Indicators

- ⏸️ **Not Started** - Phase awaiting start
- 🔄 **In Progress** - Active development
- ⏸️ **Testing** - Implementation complete, testing phase
- ✅ **Complete** - All tasks complete, tested, committed
- ❌ **Blocked** - Phase blocked (see PROGRESS_TRACKER.md)

### How to Update Progress

**Option 1: Manual Update (Simple)**
Edit `PROGRESS_TRACKER.md` directly:

## 📝 Document Templates

### Adding a New Phase

1. Create `features/phases/phase-X-name.md`
2. Use existing phase documents as template
3. Include:
   - Objectives
   - Task breakdown with time estimates
   - Code examples (before/after)
   - Acceptance criteria
   - Testing requirements
   - Commit message template

### Adding a New Feature

1. Create requirements document: `features/FEATURE_NAME_REQUIREMENTS.md`
2. Create implementation plan: `features/FEATURE_NAME_PLAN.md`
3. Create progress tracker: `features/FEATURE_NAME_PROGRESS.md`
4. Create phase documents in `features/phases/`
5. Update this README with new feature

## ✅ Best Practices

### Documentation

- ✅ Keep PROGRESS_TRACKER.md updated daily
- ✅ Mark tasks complete immediately when done
- ✅ Document blockers in PROGRESS_TRACKER.md
- ✅ Update time estimates with actuals
- ✅ Commit progress updates separately

### Development

- ✅ Read entire phase document before starting
